There has been a lot on my mind lately.  So many questions and concerns that my head has become it's own swirling cosmos that seems to have no end.  Needless to say, I have had a lot to sift through.  Things I thought I knew and had planned out are being questioned.  Concerns about what lies ahead have become rather daunting.  How can peace come to such a madhouse as this?  First, I said a handy dandy prayer and asked the Lord for some guidance.  That's always the answer it seems right?  To pray.  But it is true and it works!

The answer to my dilemma didn't come until I went to the Oakland temple the other day.  Now, the answers are usually soft and gentle.  Maybe a warm feeling or like a light from within.  My answer was more like a spiritual kick in the face.  And it didn't just happen once!  If my recollection is correct, I was kicked about 3 times on this visit to the temple.  Just to clarify, these kicks aren't painful kicks.  They are "spiritual" kicks in the face.  They are kicks because the Lord doesn't want there to be any way of you ever possibly missing them.

The face kick that stood out the most (maybe it was the KO type kick, I dunno) was the one that came while reading the scriptures.  As explained earlier, the future has seemed very daunting for me.  Not knowing what exactly is in store for my future gets me all anxious and nervous.  But, I came across a couple of verses in Matthew that put my mind at ease.  Matthew 24:42: "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."  This is in reference to the second coming of Christ, but it gave me peace for my own future.  Let me explain.

It goes on in the next few verses explaining that the faithful will be saved at this day.  Those that have spent their days following the Lord will be fine.  As I continue to do what is right, the Lord will bless me.  He is always there looking over each of us!  I had gotten too caught up in the details and wanting everything laid out before me, but it doesn't always work like that.  By trusting in the Lord and doing what He asks, He will guide me to where I need to be.  He will help with everything!  I love my Savior.  I love the peace I have found by relying on Him.  You can too.

Thank you for that post. Every time you attend the temple you learn something wonderfully new and it was great to hear (or read) what that something was for you. Thank you for the post! http://eldermillettsblog.blogspot.com/
